Privacy Policy of PIRCHE AG for pirche.com

1 Handling of data, data protection

1.1 For the proper execution of the services offered on pirche.com it is necessary to store and process the personal data of the users or their organization (GDPR articles 6.1.a and 6.1.b). This includes the user’s name, e-mail address and company address for later invoicing. PIRCHE AG guarantees the confidential handling of this data in accordance with the relevant statutory provisions on data protection. The user data is stored on servers within Germany. When the access is deleted, the user’s stored data is also deleted.

1.1.1 If the user applies for their license to be sponsored under the Preferred Partner plan, PIRCHE AG will forward the user’s personal data (limited to e-mail, company name and user name) to the user’s chosen Preferred Partner for the purpose of confirmation.

1.2 PIRCHE AG receives from the user the HLA-typing of the patient and the organ donor, as well as optional information about the sex of the individuals to be examined. In addition, the user is provided with a freely selectable identification number so that the results can be assigned to the respective patient-donor combination. PIRCHE AG guarantees the confidential handling of this data in accordance with the relevant statutory provisions on data protection. The user undertakes to use a unique and unmistakable identification number for each individual patient. The identification number can consist of any combination of numbers and / or letters. The identification number must not be used to identify the patient, except for the user making the entry. The responsibility for this lies with the user.

1.3 Personal data may only be disclosed to PIRCHE AG with the express consent of the person concerned or on the basis of a statutory authorization in accordance with the Federal Data Protection Act or other data protection provisions. Furthermore, the user must ensure that he or his employees are duly released from their legal duties of confidentiality before using the pirche.com services.

1.4 PIRCHE AG points out that it must not be possible for PIRCHE AG to identify the patient or organ donor using the data entered by the user.

1.5 The HLA typings are evaluated for the calculations and then immediately deleted by PIRCHE AG if the user does not expressly request to store this data in the concrete input mask. For billing purposes, the identification number of the patient in plain text as well as a SHA-256 hash value from the identification number and the HLA typing are always formed and stored. From this hash value neither the HLA typing can be restored nor can conclusions be drawn about the identity of the patient or organ donor.

1.6 If the user expressly wishes, the HLA typing will be stored on a PIRCHE AG server for a period of one year. The user can request PIRCHE AG to delete the stored HLA typings at any time by e-mail.

1.7 If the user wishes PIRCHE AG to store the entries and results (optional service), the data will be stored in encrypted form and decrypted only when the user requests the data.

1.8 If the user’s license is sponsored under the Preferred Partner plan (user is an “Approved User”), aggregated data on the frequency of search runs may be provided to the Preferred Partner.

1.9 Access to the web service is restricted for data protection purposes by a dedicated OAuth 2 Authorization Server.
